Central California is full of classic Central Coast scenery, with rolling grassy hills, wide open cow pastures, and oak-lined arroyos winding throughout the venue. While it might not look mountainous and technical at first glance, the hills here are deceptively steep and long; your footing will often be unsure, and whatever rhythm you find will be broken by the constantly changing terrain. Be sure to stick around after the race to sample local wine made from grapes grown right on the course!
