Event Countdown

Show the time remaining until an event occurrence starts, while retaining its exact start date for visitors.

Set up

1. Install CalendarWP core and activate CalendarWP - Event Countdown.
2. Edit the event, find its Event Countdown panel and enable Show event countdown.
3. Save the event and open its Event Details Page and Event Overlay. The bundled layout displays the countdown in Quick facts.
4. For a recurring event, check a link to the intended occurrence rather than only the series page.

The countdown follows the selected occurrence's start. At that time it changes to Event has started. It does not extend an event, reserve a place or enforce a ticket-sales deadline.

If it is missing or shows an unexpected time

Confirm the event was saved with countdown enabled, the occurrence start and timezone are correct, and the selected template contains the relevant event output. A customized template can differ from the current bundled layout. Check both the details page and overlay after template changes.

The add-on does not require an external provider account. Deactivate the add-on if you no longer want its output; back up the site before uninstalling plugins or resetting templates.
